Very interesting video. Thank you.

Keep in mind, when industrial roboters become wide spread, the west-german camera industry already lacked large turn-outs.
And at Pentacon there automate processes but no versatile roboters as shown at Nikon.

At Agfa in the early 80s robots were used for positioning of electronic compounds (SMDs).

I had to search it to see what it was !

Early industrial optical pyrometers for measuring hot metal were of the "hot wire" type.
An adjustable electric current flowed through a wire across the viewfinder and the user adjusted
until the wire was invisible against the brightness of the metal object then read the temperature from a dial.

I wonder if that idea was ever used in photography?
