Horseman LE45

I just bought a used Horseman LE 45 in decent condition. I realized two small things and maybe someone here has an idea/ opinion or suggestion what I should do.

While shifting is really smooth, tilting the back standard takes some force. The knob seems to be worn a little, but even if I loosen it's not easy to tilt.

I also recognized that the front standard is slightly off by 2 mm to the back standard. Not sure if that will have any effect on the quality?

Is there a good repair place in L.A. that might be able to check the screws on a large format camera?

If you mean the front standard is not parallel to the back by 2mm that is a major deal. My Horseman FA was off by sub-millimeter amounts and it would throw one side of a horizon out of focus with a wide (90 or smaller) lens. On the Horseman FA the front detents are adjustable. I suspect the LE has an adjustments on the detents also.

I use a laser pointer to align it. Bounce the laser off the ground glass and see where it lands (with the lens off). Then put the lens on and bounce off a microscope slide or something like that held on the front rim of the lens. Make sure the laser beam lands on the same spot. Adjust the detents to zero it.
