Hi
I've been looking for a Horseman 8x10 to 4x5 reducing back for a wile, with no luck.
I was wondering if other manufacturers backs would fit my horseman lx, for instance sinar or cambo?
Also, how easy would it be to attach a sinar 4x5 ground glass holder to a horseman or cambo reducing back?

Thanks for you patience and assistance for a newbe

Jon

Sinar and Horseman L-series monorails accept each others lens boards and other items generally which fit to the standards.

What do you have?...what are you starting with? And what are you trying to accomplish?
Are you starting with a Lx with 8x10 standards? and you want the 8x10/4x5 reducingback (which you cannot find)?

The bellows on Horseman 8x10 cameras are of two types - Cambo and Toyo. I'm not sure of the back. Please show us a photo. A Sinar back may fit. I sold an 8x10>4x5 reducing back a few days ago: https://www.photrio.com/forum/threads/fs-sinar-norma-8x10-4x5-reducing-frame.175159/
Do you think your camera will accept it?
A Sinar GG panel will not fit a Horseman 4x5 back. But I think the reverse is possible - I remember having fit one to see if it would.

Yes - can't find an LX reducing back

I just read that in 2012 Komamura (manufacturer of Horseman L-series) transferred the L-series to Kenko. Unfortunately, it does not appear to include anything for 8x10...only for 4x5
