Hello,

does anyone have practical experience with "Horseman 4x5 Universal Groundglass Back"? It is designed for use with 2x3 Horseman field cameras for shooting 4x5" film format.

What lenses (focal length) can be used with 2x3 camera and 4x5 groundglass back?

Regards,
Tom

From the Horseman promotional literature:

Picture size: 4x5" sheet film
Available lenses: Super Horseman 105mm, Super Horseman 120mm, Super Horseman 150mm
Usable lenses of other makes: 90mm -270mm
Weight 910g

I don't have this back. Instead I got a Horseman FA 4x5 camera which is basically a 2x3 Horseman camera with a built-in 4x5 back. The FA will take lenses as wide as 65mm and has the same front standard and focusing assembly as the 2x3 cameras. At 2kg the 4x5 FA is the same weight as the 2x3 VH-R. When you add the 4x5 back to the VH-R you are now up to almost 3kg.
