Horseman 45FA and Universal Zoom Finder

I am looking for advise on mounting the Horseman Universal Zoom finder on my 45FA. According to all the literature I can find it should mount directly to the cold shoe on top of the 45FA. However, in my case it will not "lock" in place. It seems that the locking pin on the finder does not quite reach the "hole" on the side of the show. Any advise on how to get it to lock in place would be appreciated.

Is the pin extending fully? If it sticks a bit it could be some crap in the guide and a drop of alcohol could help.


But if you need to, you could just use a shim under the finder to tighten it up.

Thanks John ... you were correct ..... the pin was dirty and sticking. Cleaned and working OK now!
