I processed some personal work using my Jobo ATL-3 and noticed about half my frames off this roll show this horizontal streaking/drip mark. What could be the cause of this? I've probably developed hundreds of rolls using this processor and always shoot HP5+ in DD-X.
Please let me know if you have any idea what could have caused this! Looks like uneven development but I'm not sure how that could be considering I mix the developer very well.
This is typical for remainings of wetting agent. They are very hard to remove.
1) Use only a tiny amount of wetting agent, ca. 1 ml per Liter
2) Strip the film off. After 20 year using a squeegee I never had issues. I always prepare the thing with hot water.
Thank you for the reply! Could it just be from water not being fully wiped off the film? Only reason I ask is I don't use any kind of wetting agent (such as Photo Flo)
Could be the water we have in our respective towns! I used a wetting agent (Photo Flo) for many years but have not for maybe the past 4 years or so and have never had an issue.
I'm beginning to think you are correct. I do remember rushing to hang the film because I was starving and was running to get to Chipotle before they closed. Serves me right for rushing a medium that requires much time and patience
