Hi folks, I use a jobo processor (cpe2plus) with the 2509n reels for 4x5 film. I occasionally get a horizontal line running across the entire length of the negative which I believe is from the reel (I cant think of what else it would be). It appears to only show up on tmax 100 intermittently, I've never seen it with chromes or other b/w films which might just be a coincidence or I haven't noticed it yet. Am I doing something wrong or is it something I have to live with using the 2509 reels?
thanks for any help!
Erik
below is an example. The line goes through the sky at the very top.

I have a CPE2, and haven't had any problems with any film up to 120 size, but I don't have the 2509 reel, so I can't comment.
Try posting this question in the darkroom equipment thread (or ask a mod to move this thread) - you might get a better response there

Dear Erik,

I apologize for the obvious nature of these questions but:

1) Are you using the two baffles (or whatever they are called)?
2) How much developer are you using and in what tank?
3) What is your development time?

Thanks for the responese guys,
David, I guess it might be from a film holder.?
Neal, I do use the baffles. I use 300ml for the single reel tank and
600ml for the double reel tank using d76 stock solution for 6.5 to 7.5 minutes.
Thanks again for any advice!
Erik
