Hooray I fixed my Koni 200 -- 120 back

So spending a lazy Christmas afternoon cleaning up cameras. My Koni Rapid came with a 120 back that is pretty beat, back door keeps flipping up (fixed that with tape) but luckily it shot well with proper spacing.

Awhile ago I procured another one for cheap, that looked pristine, but thought it was locked up. Thought about a CLA but it seemed to expensive and I was too lazy at the time. So today I'm looking at it and notice I can't hand crank the take up spool. Gently took a pair of channel locks to the lower metal wheel and got her moving. Now I have a near perfect one and my older one for backup!

I've not heard of that ... these backs are pretty specific to the Koni's I believe. They have the "shotgun" film advance lever.

Koni Omega did not use a Grafloc in ANY of it's iterations.

I have a "Rapid" and out of 3 backs only one spaces correctly.
I started working on one and the tiny needle bearings are indeed TINY.

I did get one side of the bearings back in and decided to not pursue it further.
Those backs will seem smooth/fine until you put a roll of film in or apply some pressure to the take up spool. This is when you can tell if it doesn't advance smoothly.

Maybe I'll try taking one apart again someday soon but...

you may want to lube your takeup spool ratchet correctly but be forewarned.
I only got halfway through the procedure and decided to stop before I lost any bearings.

Be sure you have a clean, well lit work area.

I could have sworn I had a graphlok back on my Koni and a GG sheet film holder as well. I may be thinking of another camera I used in the 70s for weddings.

Maybe like a Mamiya Super 23 or something similar?
