I am selling a Honeywell Pentax 1/21 Spotmeter. The meter takes two batteries: An ordinary 9V alkaline, and a 1.3 volt RM640 / MR9 battery. I tested the meter with a 9V battery and it seems to give correct readings on the low light scale, but apparently the lower voltage battery is necessary to use the high light scale (outdoors or with photofloods). I don't own such a battery to test the high scale. Akaline equivalents are available today, but their voltage is on the high side (about 1.5V). Whether such a modern replacement battery would work correctly, or if something like an equivalent Wien cell exists, I do not know, so this meter is being sold as-is for the tinkerer. An alternative approach would be to place neutral density filters over the entrance aperture in high light situations and make a correction to the indicated exposure. A manual is available on the Butkus website.

A fitted case is included, but the zipper is broken. The case is still useful for protection and storage.

Price: **SOLD** $25 plus shipping. Sold as shown, batteries not included.
