Continuing along another thread that was started here I decided to try and make my own POP paper using pottassium nitrate double coated. So far my best print is on old Oriental Grade 4. 20 minutes in the pizza oven and 5 in 10% Nathiosulphate. I have tried to download the POP PDF file off of the CAW site and it won't deliver...does anyone here have the gold toning formula for POP?? any help would be much appreciated
If I had my scanner here I would post my progress...enough to say that I have a way to go....
Thanx, Peter

Any gold toner that works for kallitype and/or vandyke and/or albumen and/or salt prints is useable I think. I much prefer gold-thiourea for toning iron-silver prints...

Look for Sandy's (King) kallitype article @ unblinkingeye.com, also Wynn White's vandyke article at the same website. Also, I think Chicago Albumen Works had some info online, plus search for Reilly book on albument and salt printing. (Google and you'll find all of the above...)

Regards,
Loris.

I'm just downloading the file from this address. Try it, if it doesn't work then it means you have some weird network or security problem...???

See here for the Reilly Book.

Hope this helps,
Loris.
