I'm going to chalk this one up to me being stupid, but my negatives came out really contrasty. I know why, so I thought I'd share with you my stupidity.
I decided that I'd develop the roll of HP5 I had sitting in my tank awaiting a second by itself so that I could see how well the Minolta Scan software worked with my computer. I got everything set up, put Diafine solution A in the tank, and let it sit. Then I started scanning other negatives, found an auction for Reala, and started a blog entry. About 15 minutes later I rememebered that I had negatives in the soup.
Went and put B in, fixed, and washed. Saw the negs and they're PRISTINE...but contrasty. Going to leave them that way, too. Reminder of my stupidity. But anyway, thought I'd share. Thank GOD that Diafine is a two bath developer...I probably would have nothing usable otherwise.
