Hi Everyone,

I have been batting the idea around for a while to join up/locate/start a Holga or Toy Camera based Print Exchange. I have been surfing the net for a few weeks looking and it seems no one is doing one right now...so...why don't we do one!??

I'm thinking anyone that's interested could email me their contact information (Name, Address, Etc.) and sign up for either a certain number of prints you are willing/able to make, or if you are good for 1 print for everyone that's inovolved and sharing. I figure a month or six weeks would be enough time (but that's up for debate) to make the prints then I could share the information around for everyone to send prints to you.

What do you all think? Is anyone else interested or is it just me?

Holga/Toy Camera Print Exchange Information

Yay! I'm glad to know i"m not the only one that wants to do this!

Okay, so you can send me your info via PM here on APUG.
Please include: Name, Postal Address and how many prints you are in for! (Whether 5 is your max, or if you want to trade with everyone!)

I will take contact information until October 18th. That will give everyone about a month to sign up and get in. I will get a list of names to each person to trade with during the following few days. And let's see if we can't get prints shipped out by the beginning of November. That'll give us a couple weeks to get prints made and also keep it fresh in everyone's heads that they are on the hook for some great art! :-D

I would like to make this an actual PRINT exchange. So let's make our prints larger than 4"x4" but less than 8"x8"...so nothing that you can't jam onto an 8x10 piece of paper!

Digital prints are fine as long as the image came from a toy camera, cuz let's face it...not all of us have darkrooms!

Thanks again everyone and I CAN'T WAIT to see what we all come up with!

Recieved my print from Allen (photogeek82) yesterday. Love it! But you didn't mention what camera you used...

I've picked my negative (been playing with a flipped-lens Brownie) and hoping for a darkroom day next week to print.

I rec'd Allen's print today. Thanks! I'm hoping to get mine out by the end of the week. They will be color prints from the lab, but are genuine Holga originals

I received Allen's print on Saturday. Got into the darkroom today and am about to go address and probably mail tomorrow.

FYI, when you receive this, remember.. I just got this camera a couple months ago so Toy Cameras are new to me.

Ok, so my things are printed and enveloped. Should be going out in the morning. I think the fisheye I used is underexposing or something.. I used 1600 speed film and it still looks light. Even on the negatives.

Got yours today Valerie. I love it. I have a brownie hawkeye which might be fun to mess around with. I also picked up a 126 Instamatic recently, going to see if I can find some film for it soon.

Rec'd Valerie's photo today. It's a beauty. I really like that look. I just picked up a nearly new Brownie for $5, so will have to give that reversed lens thing a try!
