I'm a retired lithographer, graphic artist and photographer from Alaska, now living in Puerto Rico. Back in the day, I did a lot of black & white photography and maintained my own darkroom. I even wound my own B&W 35mm cassettes from 100 feet rolls. I've shot with everything from 1/2 frame 35mm to 4x5 view. I still have some 35mm OM, an RB67 and a Fuji GSW690 I shoot with. Its been years since I did any 'film' processing and am looking forward to shooting more of it. I will eventually set up to do my own carbon contact prints from digitally generated negatives. I have a Blog dedicated to the local sights and what it's like to live in PR. Most of the content for 'Roberto's Puerto Rico' was done on an aging Sony A100 and lately, an NEX-7 with a few manual focus lenses from the 'old days'. Puerto Rico is a photographers paradise! Hit me back if you want to chat. RobertosPuertoRico.com

Hola, and welcome to the nut house. I am envious of you living in PR, I spent several months there in the early 70's, what a cool place to retire to.

Welcome to the gang. There are some crazy nut heads here as Rick mentioned but most of them are actually harmless. They might try to scare you though

Welcome. You will find folks not particularly interested in your digitally produced negatives (or anything else digitally produced) however this is a great place for film based discussions. My gear includes a huge Olympus OM kit and among other things a NEX 7. There some here who, like the two of us, use digital technology in producing analogue prints. Again, welcome. Bill Barber

I totally get that, but the Blog I do is a different thing. Different tools for different processes. If you saw it, you would understand.

Yes, I have a ton of OM gear and use the lenses on My NEX-7. The Zuiko 50mm f1.4 is a particular favorite. Never was a fan of AF. But my big push is to shoot B&W on my Fuji GSW690III. It has wonderful 65mm lens and a nice big frame. Not really big enough for contact prints, but great scanned to a large contact neg. I use an OM4 with 28mm as my spotmeter. There are absolutely NO darkroom supplies on the island so logistics is an issue. I checked with all my photo pals here, on that one. Thank God for slow-boat USPS, eBay and Amazon or I would never score any chemicals or paper. I'm still scouting for a used plate burner, but I did have the good sense to bring the rubber mat, a vacuum pump and controls from a gutted Nuark, with me to PR. Ever use a carbon-arch plate burner? Yea. I'm that old. I also brought the tanks and reels to develop 35mm, 120 or 220. Besides the OM gear and Fuji, I have an RB67ProS and 4 lenses waiting to be used. My second set in a lifetime. I still dream of a 4x5 folder like the old Crown Graphic I had, rigged with a 65mm and a 6x12cm back. I know I'm preaching to the choir here so I'll leave it at that. This page pretty much details what I'm up to now, short of the interest in film- http://robertospuertorico.com/about-roberto-and-the-site/ Wordpress rules!!!
