This thing focuses HARD. When I mean hard it means that I have to put almost all my strength into doing it. I'm getting tired of it. Does anyone know how to get to the mechanism so that I can clean/lube it? And what should I use to lube the thing in the first place? ANY advice would be appreciated...I can't seem to find anything on the 'net, but if someone could point me in the right direction that would also be appreciated.

Yeah...just so you know, the reason I'm asking is that I don't want to sell low on this. Everything else is working...it's a good little camera that I'm wanting to get rid of in favor of a Rolleicord. I'd really appreciate the help...any kind of help.

Some updates. The camera face plate is unscrewed, but I don't know if I can get at what I need to get at. It seems as though the spanner is needed for me to go any farther...and I don't have one. Bugger.

I guess this means no one knows. Lovely. Maybe I should think about getting it professionally looked at and then sell the thing.

I have a flexaret I am repairing (when I ever have teh time to do so). It will not be worth it to repair and sell. It is worth less then the repair will cost you.

Hi Stephanie - If you have Rollei fever then there is no cure - go ahead and grab a Rollei. In the meantime I would be willing to send to you my minty Flexaret in exchange for a nice print of yours. The focus is smooth and buttery. Shutter speeds are right on at 25 and faster. Slow speeds are sticky. But this I can promise - getting the Prontor shutter lubed will be much easier than fixing a balky focus lever. PM if interested.

I think what I'll probably do is either sell the Meopta very low or give it away and then buy the Rollei. I don't need much money from the Meopta...I got it in the box-o-cameras that I got on ePrey a while back.

Well, I'm going to try the Meopta on RFF...I'll see how it goes. In the mean time...if anyone can give me instructions on how to fix the focus so it at least makes it easier it would most likely be a nice surprise for whichever person actually gets it.
