High relief printing in white on black

It looks like it's really time for me to start actually trying this process and stop asking questions.

I know this is sort of off topic and I was thinking of starting a new thread but I'll ask anyway.
I am curious do you use Sapphire glass or any type of low iron more UV transparent glass with your contact prints.
Is it worth the cost. I know it's expensive and the thinnest I can find so far in Australia is 3mm.
It seems that keeping the UV up as high as possible could help this process. But it could also increase halation.

No, I just accept the slight reduction in UV transmission. I use the window glass, double strength, edges sanded.

I was doing some research and found out that non-recycled cling wrap is highly transparent to UV.
So I am going to do some experiments with that at some stage to see how much difference it makes.
It's a whole lot cheaper and easier to get than low iron glass. Just a little fragile.
