I am currently using mainly Adox chm400 shot at ISO800 and developed in 1+50 rodinal. I like the results, but what developer would you suggest for ISO1600 pushing and for ISO3200 films (+ pushing delta and tmz)? I prefer sharpness and would like to get details from the shadows as well - big grain doesn't bother me at all. Also, I prefer one-shot type of liquid developers (not powder...). I have tried t-max rs and it was too muddy...not sharp at all. Any ideas?
I've had decent results with D-76 and good results with HC-110 for push - processing. I am using mostly Neopan and Tri-X, so I'm not sure about anything Adox.
I like the results of HC-110 for pushing best, though.
Depends on what you mean by ISO. If you set your meter for 4 times the ISO you would like to use and read the significant shadows, are you really getting acceptable results at ISO 800 on a nominally 400 film? With Rodinal, yet? I mean can you set your meter for 3200 ISO, read the shadows, and see detail in those shadows when you develop in Rodinal?
For 35mm, Microphen or Acufine, but if you really don't mind grain, look up the RAF pyro-metol formula that I've posted in the "Chemical Recipes" section. Microphen and Acufine can generally get you an honest 1-1.5 stops, and I've found RAF good for maybe 1.5-3 stops, depending on the film.

Not so much shadow details with ISO800 and not at all with ISO3200 when used rodinal - but if I use rodinal, then the shadow details are not so important. Actually I meter always with ISO640 settings and develop 95% of my films in 1+50 rodinal. So, I don't know what the "real ISO" would here be...
EDIT: If I remember correct - this shot was metered as ISO1600 and developed in 1+50 rodinal --> Dead Link Removed
1. sharp image
2. shadow details
3. big grain doesn't bother me
4. Storage VERY GOOD
I heard that there was some kind of trick how you could increase the time in XTOL - do you have an idea what would that be? To lenghten the storage time that is.
