Hello. I am working in a research institute in Korea.
This time, I changed the Noritsu Coloring Machine to black and white. Since it is the first method in Korea, there is no place to ask for advice, so I would like to ask for advice from the teachers here.
1. I plan to use xtol 1:1 and my workload is at least 20-50 per day. The machine feeds two rolls at a time. Please tell us the quantity of each replenishment of 35&120 film.
2. Can I mix Flushing Accelerator and Photoflow?
We are sorry that the terminology is slightly different as we are a translator.
You need the advice of a professional teacher. thank you.
Xtol is normally replenished as stock solution, rather than 1:1, and the common rate is 70 ml per 120 or 135-36 (shorter 135 rolls use proportionally less).
For "flushing accelerator" I presume you mean rapid fixer; I'm not familiar with replenishing fixers for B&W, but you can safely and effectively use C-41 fixer and follow its replenishment rates.
For Photo-Flo, again I'm unfamiliar with replenishment. Photo-Flo doesn't have anti-fungal agents as C-41 Final Rinse does, so it will have a fairly short tank life even if you can replenish it. I'd suggest you may want/need to mix it fresh each day.
By "flushing accelerator" do you mean hypo clearing agent or (also known as ) wash aid, for clearing fixer?
If so, probably not, as you should follow the wash aid with a plain water wash, then the photo-flo would be used last with no water wash following it.
I'm sorry, Google Translate didn't fully make sense of that last reply. I do not recommend replenishing diluted Xtol, but if you do, you'd dilute your replenisher as well (70 ml stock solution plus 70 ml water) to keep the developer at constant strength.
