Hi there all...
I heard of this group's existence from rec.photoequipment.35mm and thought I'd take a look...looks like I'm not the only one still into non-digital!
I have absolutely nothing against digital, mind you, I just haven't felt the need to take the plunge yet.
I started out in the late 70's, buying a new Pentax K-1000 and had it for years..."upgrading" in the late 80's to an used ME, then quickly to a Program Plus (missed the manual setting too much!), and over the years have collected various lenses and other things Pentax including a recent purchase of a P3n while my Program Plus is getting reconditioned in the shop.
I recently went on a body buying binge and now am the proud owner of a Fujica ST701, Yashica FX-D, Pentax K-1000, and a Minolta XD11. I only wanted the K-1000 but it was one of those all-or-nothing sales.
I'm going to outfit the Minolta for my wife, as she wants to get more into photography.
I also have a RolleiCord, vintage 1953, I bought it and haven't used it much, so I want to learn more about using it.
John
