Hi,

Been lurking for a while to get a feel for this forum.....seems to be generally entertaining and informative...... which is a good thing....

Some aspects of my business are firmly digital (it has to be), other aspects of my business are firmly analogue (because I want it to be).

For those who know me from elsewhere, good to see you. For those who don't know me, nice to meet you.

Regards,

Steve Walton FRSA LMPA

Nice to see another UK based APUGer. Did I see an article about you in AP a few months back?

Welcome from left side of the puddle.

May have seen us in a mag. I think
Professional Photographer was the last one to feature us.

Thanks for the reply.

Robert, Andre. Thank you.

What part of the UK are you from? We have quite a big, healthy group here from the UK.

Robert, I live in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

(Pronounced Luffburrer....it's a university town in the county of Leicestershire, right in the middle of the East Midlands, England).

Somehow, Hawaii seems a bit more exotic!

I've been to Leicester, but only for a few hours. I was staying with friends in St. Neots for a few days.

Hawaii, at the least the island I live on, Oahu, is very crowded.

I think I could cope with the crowds on Ohahu, Robert!

Hope you enjoyed your stay, however brief.

Welcome Steve from New England. Good to see you here on APUG.

Hi Steve, welcome aboard APUG

Enjoyed your work on your web site...it'll be nice to have a few more splashes of colour in the APUG galleries once in a while, right Robert? I saw in your panoramic gallery that you've been to B.C. One day I'd love to sit and soak in those standing stones on your side of the pond. Enjoy!

Hi Steve and welcome from the North West. All of my wifes family reside in and around Market Harborough.

Murray, thanks for your comments...

Lee, nice area around Mkt. Harborough!

Hi Steve, and Welcome.

Not far down the road from you in Hertfordshire.

And Robert, if your ever with your friends again in St Neots, I'm a 20 minute drive away, would love to meet up. Perhaps you could teach me to see in that weird colourfull world that I'm totally blind to!!!

Hope you enjoy your stay, Steve.

Regards

I would love to stop by Stoo. I'm thinking seriously about a trip to England in 2007.

Robert

You would be welcomed with open arms, and I can imagine, not by me alone either.

Welcome and enjoy the site! We are pretty hungry around here so feed us with some of your favorie personal stuff.

I stumbled on to this website a few days ago and decided to become a supporting member and support analog photography. We are becoming a smaller group and our future does not look so good. Certainly, at the least, we will be an elite group and as long as analog materials are made available I will continue to make the effort as I have for over 30 years. I have a substantial investment in analog photo gear that I am just not yet willing to give up on. The "magic" I experience in creating a traditional print is far beyond the feeling I get in making a d*****l print. And as an educator, for me, it is all about the "magic". I tip my hat to all of you who have not given in to the "other" craze. I look forward to viewing your work and hope to post some of my own soon.
