Hi everyone.

I'm José. I'm originally from San Diego, California but have been living in Honolulu, Hawaii for almost fifteen years.

I'm new to the forum but have been making photographs for most of my life...mostly film. I don't own a digital camera at the moment but I shoot with a few different cameras;
Nikon F100
Nikon F4
Mamiya M645 1000s (currently out for a CLA)
Olympus 35SP rangefinder
Polaroid one-step 600

One day I hope to own a Leica M2, a Hasselblad 503cw and a Mamiya 7ii.

I'm getting back into processing my own film again and was recently gifted an enlarger: an Omega, Super Chromega C Dichroic that seems to need a little TLC.
Hopefully I'll have a darkroom set up soon so I can start making prints.

I'm also a printmaker (screen printing, lithography, wood cuts, intaglio, etc)
@subtlelikeatrex on IG if you feel so inclined.

attached is a bad phone photo of a print I made of these dancers from FSM (Federated States of Micronesia) during the Festival of Pacific Art and Culture, here in Honolulu last summer. It was the first time the festival had been held in Hawaii. Delegations from all over the Pacific came to Hawaii to demonstrate their culture through song, dance, and art. I made this image with my M645.

Salud!

Welcome! Is the Treehouse analog store still around? I usually go there and Hungry Ear records when I'm there.

It is! I’ve been giving them a lot of my money lately so I’m starting to process my own film at home again. After a decade of not shooting much I’m diving back in head first.

A belated welcome! I mostly grew up in Kailua, and lived in Honolulu for a couple of years (Moiliili, near the university). Hawaii is so unique, there's no place like it.

I really like the photo that you shared above, it's nicely seen. Enjoy the analog adventure, and hopefully get into darkroom printing soon!

Thanks Dale!
I officially got my darkroom working last week. I’ve made a bunch of contact sheets and am going to try to make a print or two today.
