Hello, APUG! I’m so happy to see this site. Everyone here seems to be speaking my language – not a comment yet about shooting in RAW – amazing! It’s pretty lonely out there when you seem to be the only one still passionate about film, and printmaking in general.

Although I’ve been shooting seriously for some years now, I still consider myself a beginner, and really expect to be a lifelong student of the craft. I love shooting B&W film most, including infrared, and just set up a darkroom at home a little over a year ago. I love to develop film, and printmaking is just sheer joy.

My main camera is a Pentax MZ-S, and a Pentax ME for HIE. I also shoot a Holga, an Agfa Super Isolette folder, and a Zeiss Ikon Contaflex Super BC. I enjoy collecting and shooting with older cameras - sort of a linked obsession!

My main interest is in alternative photographic processes. Right now, I do Polaroid image transfers/emulsion lifts, using a Daylab 35 +. I’ve been experimenting with bromoil printmaking for the last year. I love the look of lith prints, so that’s probably next on the list…..along with more attention to toning than just the basic two-bath sepia approach I was taught. I also enjoy hand coloring and have taught a workshop on the traditional approach.

So many processes….so little time. I do have a website – it’s badly in need of updating, but some of my stuff is there: www.terrisprinkle.com. I participate in arts festivals a few times a year and got asked one time too many about a website, so there it is.

I expect to learn a lot here – the site looks great. Thanks for plowing through all this!

Hi Terri,

Welcome to APUG. Pull up a chair and relax, you are among friends!

Andy.

Welcome to the community, the web site is pretty impressive. You wouldn't be Terri off 'another' photo community by any chance ?

Thanks for the kind words about the web site. For me, it feels so out of date as to be worthless, so the inevitable upgrade just sems like another "thing to do" staring at me.

Digiconvert: I belong to a couple other communities, and am more active at one in particular - not a whole lot of film enthusiasts there to help me along, however. Would I know you, as well?

Welcome Terri. I am on a vintage folder kick at the moment, so browsing through your site came right on time...very well done.

Regards

Hi terri. Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy our little group. BTW, you could shoot here in the raw, but it is the rainy season, so you probably wouldn't enjoy it much.

Welcome Terri, and stop calling yourself a beginner. Your polaroid image transfers are beautiful.

NICE website! You'll love it here. Helps if you're a little bit crazy. :D

Your photos are very nice and so is the design of your website.
Welcome to our little crazy community Terri.

Hi Terri, Welcome I'm also just beginning to experiment with Bromoil so it's great to see someone else working in the process.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, guys. I appreciate all the kind words! Looks like I'll have to subscribe so I can post some images, and give you all a chance to retract them. :D

Welcome Terri!
I love your website (and am still drooling over your cameras!)!

I especially like the shot of a ride of some sort... it looks like it should have been in "The Matrix".... VERY cool!

Welcome to APUG!!

Welcome to APUG!!
Thanks a ton!! That one turned out pretty nicely....HIE film, and I had my back to the ride (called "Cyclops", I think?) and waited for that crazy thing to fly out over my head. Those people were screaming their heads off, too - it was great.

Hello Terri,

Welcome to the site! I haven't seen your web site but I will in a minute. I also love to shoot infrared 35mm. And I also like to shoot at amusement parks with infrared. How cool is that! You've come to the right place.

BWKate

Terri,

Liked your web site. Especially liked the ride infrared shot!

Hello Terri and welcome to the site. Lots of interesting people and ideas here.

Can't shoot raw where I live, various body parts would freeze solid and snap off.

Rick.
