I know he has been discussed before, but I just noticed we missed the 100th year anniversary of his birth on Friday (Aug 22, 1908) and thought we should mark it with a post here.
As one of the most well known analog photographers of the last century, what do you think of his work?
Martin, a timely post. I was perusing a book containing his work today, and noted that this is indeed the 100th anniversary of his birth.
What do I think of his work? In a word, marvelous! His work was so different from anything I have attempted, but his sense of composition and conveyance of emotion was unique. A true master, in my opinion. Thanks for noting his anniversary.
