I realize that I'm about 36 months over due; but I'm shooting the very last of my Fuji B&W instant film and of course, getting great pics. Problem is; I always give the print away and keep the negative. Can anyone lead me in the direction of how to prepare the negative for an enlarger? I know someone on this board has done it; but I can't find directions.

I think there are some tutorials on YouTube, I believe that it is called a "Instant Negative Lift", I'll find the video and put the link in another post

The link from Tobychrome won't work with the negative from FP3000B, unfortunately. And I think the only way people have recovered the negs from the 3000B is by scanning them. There is a way to clear the negs from the 100C, but those aren't made the same. For those, you tape them down tightly and apply chlorox toilet bowl cleaner to the back (slightly more involved, but that's the gist). That method doesn't work for the 3000B as far as I know.

Yes, it was a beautiful film, too.

This. The FP3000B produces a negative that requires no washing/prep. Just flatbed scan it and you're good to go. The negative is as good (pretty much) as the 100C, but you can only scan them.

If you do wash the 3000, the image will come off. Ask me how I know....

as other have said, you can only scan the negative on the 3000b - it's not a true neg. but you can easily make a true negative from 100c by taping the emulsion side to some glass and brushing the other side with bleach till the black gunk disappears.

That's what I do, scan them and then you can always make a digital negative if you want to print it. The 100c negs can be cleaned with bleach.

As for the bleach for cleaning the 100C's, I use Clorox Clinging Bleach Gel Bathroom Cleaner. It doesn't run all over the place like straight bleach does, so it's less likely to seep under the tape and get on the emulsion side.

I used to tape but now do the 'thoroughly wet the emulsion and slap onto glass' method. the water creates a tension which helps keep the gel bleach from seeping onto the neg. make sure to wash all the bleach off before flipping the neg over and off the glass.

I'm not sure they have to be that grainy - that might all be down to how they get scanned and how you (or your scanner) sharpen them. for instance I feel like this negative has less coarse grain than the above example:
