I thought I should have couple of spare light bulbs for my DeVere 504 MK5. I know it has 2x 250W 24V ELC bulbs for God, it is hard to find the exact speced model and finding a halogen bulb is getting more difficult.
Yes that's the one - always plentiful and easy to find !
Just make sure you don't buy those cheapo ones ( 'disco lights' ) as they don't last very long.
Stick to known manufacturers ( Osram, Phillips etc... )
Daher für DeVere Farbvergößerer nicht geeignet." says bascially it wasnt good for DeVere color enlarger
I always thought Osram was one of the "go to" for bulbs. You could try ordering a different brand from the USA amazon site. It will cost a bit more but you could try a different brand. The USA amazon has a bunch of brands listed with good reviews, although they don't specify if it was used in a DeVere.
As long as you get an ELC, you should be fine. That's the bulb code. Those were the standard bulb in Kodak carousel projectors for years, so there are plenty out there.
Any ELC from a quality maker ( Phillips, Orsam etc) will be correct.
Thank you all, I have ordered 4x Osram ELC as spare. I wasnt quite sure as some models have longer life but lower output so I have opted for short life high output ones to make sure they are comparable what I have in the enlarger now, which are from GE as far as I can see.
I have gotten may hard to find bulbs from there. Some seemed to be very old new stock. A few have had corrosion on the pins but cleaned up and worked fine ( new in sealed, not resealed boxes ). Don't know it it was because there were stored near an ocean or some other bad environment, but never got a bulb that didn't work.
Just noticed you might be in the UK, so might not be a good choice for you.
