hi everyone

the last time i tried to take the film out of my f801s, it read error. i stupidly thought it had rewound and opened the back and lost the film. i know. i read there is sometimes a problem with this camera and that issue. i read that fresh batteries might help. i also think it happens when you shoot over 36. i am now at 35. can i rewind right now? someone who has this camera might advise. thanks!

update: i got to 36 and pressed the 2 buttons to make the film rewind. it just beeped and then read E on the counter but no rewind sound. I turned it off and back on again and fired the shutter. It beeped again and still read E. I turned it off again for a minute or so then turned it back on. This time when I pressed the rewind buttons, it worked. phew. I wonder if you are familiar with this?

Sorry, never heard of this. I have 3 of them.
Never happened to me either, I currently have two that I used professionally for many years. With the price of a used 8008s I wouldn't spend a lot of time trying to diagnose the issue but are these factory loads or hand loads?
