Help with research :) Analogue in education

Hey all - I have just finished a degree in photogrphy (all analogue!) and now working on a research project for my University looking at how analogue works in the curriculum its usefullness, how it works alongside digital and things like creativtity, cognition learning methods are affected. I know its a huge area but would actually just be interested in anyone whos been through the whole photography education thing recently and how you might see anlaogue being part of education in the future. Anyway any comments greatfully received.
