I rarley use a color film but will be doing some indoor architectual work soon it is a smallsih bathroom with stunning glass tile work.
My question is I want to use exsisting light which is halogen: do I need a tungsten balanced film? What kind of exposure latittude can I get?
I will be using 4x5 with a 58mm SA.

Dear Ron,

Use Polaroids and CC filters, even with neg film. Bathrooms are BASTARD things to photograph, and exposure is evil too.

Are the tiles reflective or transilluminated? That matters too...

Cheers,

R.

Thanks for the tip: the wall tile is colored glass semi-transparent very glossy and very reflective, the floor is a matte green/grey with some random small glass tiles.
Someone told me color neg film would be the way to go? Also there is a very bright halogen on the back wall. So any estimate as to how many stops I might get out of color neg rather than transparencies?

Ron, the real question is what do you wish to do with what you shoot?

In other words the end product, will more than likely determine what you use in the camera.
