I have a Brand New Mamiya RZ 50mm ULD lens that has never been on the camera
Tried to mount it on Saturday and could not get the ring that releases the rear lens cap to turn
Has anybody else ever experienced this problem?
Thanks,
Bob

Ok sounds right, but just to be sure (and not to insult your intelligence!)... you need to try to line up the red line with the white dot. Does it give at all, in either direction? Or does it feel like the ring itself is stuck hard?

P.S. Just checked with one of my lenses and it is a bit firm, but not especially hard. It does take a fairly firm grip though.

The ring turns CLOCKWISE when viewed from the mount end of the lens, AFAIK.

You don't turn the cap. Turn the ring in the back of the lens.

THANKS GENTS!
Got it off using latex gloves and a flat piece of grippy material ( used to open kitchen jars ) to hold the front part of the lens
