Help!! Quadtone RIP and OS 10.5

I've been working with Quadtone RIP for my epson 4000 in a G4 Power Mac for years. Recently I bought an Intel based Mac Pro G5 and download the 2.6.1 version of the RIP but I can't install it, the set up printers menu don't see the driver. Any advise? any clue?

You should be installing it though the included utility and not through osx's "add printers" dialogue. Then you'll see it appear in your printers list.

I did that but it didn't appear, I suspect that the problem is that I'm using a firewire conection instead of usb.

Ahhh there's the culprit! Firewire doesn't work for QTR.
