Hello, I am working with a Durst CLS 1849 Film Enlarger. I want to turn it horizontal but I can't figure out how. I have loosened all the bolts and knobs and it still won't turn. When I try to turn it, it only moves about 5 degree then stops. Does anyone have a video or does anyone know how I can turn the enlarger horizontal? Thank you very much.
Thank you AgX for the info. I will take a look at it. I did see a lever that the handle has an "L" on it and in the middle has 90 degree, then an "M" I believe. Is this the lever?
Thank you Agx, We did try the levers but it was not moving. When we tried to move it by hand it only moved 5 degrees and then stopped. We do have a manual but the manual said to loosen the centering bolt which we could not find on the projector. I wish there was a video out but I also search for one and there is no video. Hopefully we can figure it out asap and make a video.
You can see the knob used to rotate the head at the top of this picture. You can see the shaft from that knob that connects to the worm-gear mechanism. You twist the knob to rotate the head. You can also (at the far left upper) see the locking lever style knob. That locks the head in any orientation. In the picture, straight down from the locking lever is the head of the 'dead-center' locking pin.
