Hi there!

I have been offered a Jobo CPA color processor, and I am about to buy it. Trouble is, I am totally new to color developing / processing.

I would like to start with the user manual for this particular processor, but I have not managed to find it, most of the information gets diluted with that of the CPA-2, for which appears to be lots more of info. Can someone share it with me or redirect me to where I can find it?

I have already read about the potential leaks of this model, so I am aware of that and will act accordingly. What other things, you CPA users, can tell me about this device, or about processing color in general?

The processor appears to be more or less complete (at least, usable with the included accessories, bottles, the things for measuring chemicals (don't know its English term), a Colordrum 4204, a RoTank 4322, pump, inserts, adapter for sheet film and maybe something else I am missing). What other accessories do you recommend I should look for?

Any help or pointer to resources for reading will be much appreciated!

On the Jobo sites are only manuals etc. for the CPA-2/CPP-2, the OP is looking for manuals etc. for the CPA.

My point exactly, it seems that there is not that much info left for those of us with archaic devices... Anyway, thanks Neal for the comment.

Maybe it would be easier if someone can just detail the differences between the CPA and the CPA-2, if they are somehow similar (which I don't know) and then I may start from there...

All the Jobos are quite simple machines. You just need to set the temperature and the motor speed. Just make sure you set the motor speed to high. And to stop the motor when emptying/filling the tanks. That's really all to it.
With CPA you can't mount a lift, but this has never been a problem for me.

If you are after development instructions then you should follow the ones that come with your C-41/E-6 kit. To develop B&W you just use the standard process, with reduced times.
