Help me pls ! Never used contax t2 not working

Hi everyone ,

I just bought a contax T2 which is like never used.
When I opened it a battery was already inside but it was empty.
Then I put a new one, turn it on and from then the lens barrel keeps going back and forth, non stop (except one AF : it goes back and forth only when I press the shutter button) also all the leds inside go red.
I can’t manage to take any pictures.
let me know if someone had a similar issue , or if someone know if it’s a serious thing !

Hi Seb,

Welcome to the forum .
Unfortunately in this electronic P&S cameras: when something is wrong like you described - best it to send the camera back, if not possible, then there are some knowledge repairman that will cost you a lot of extra.
