It is hard to tell what is wrong based on that picture. It almost looks like someone broke through the little fstop/shutter speed window with a screwdriver and pried up, bending the metal. If nothing is damaged underneath, I'd take the front panel off and bend it back and repaint it, then make a new little window out of plastic.

If it really bothers you I'd consider selling it and getting another. Though it looks like you already have a second one.

Who knows, maybe there are some spares out there. I do have a spare NOS meter cover and have seen those up for sale.

Weird damage for it to have been done in shipping (DHL). I can't imaging this happening. I agree with ic-racer about what it looks like. You sure it didn't leave Germany like this?

Check with Krimar Photo in NJ, call him. You could probably email him this image. He's a first rate repair source, East Coast.

Thaks everyone.I think the only way is to replace a new panel or a second hand. But dear ic-racer,this camera almost mint you konw, see another picture.I could hardly find the second one to replace this one in my heart. It was mint in German, but it's broken now.I don't know if someone have a stock part for it.Someone call me trying Marflex Service.i have no idea.It is so suffering and puzzled.:cry:KEH also has none. Now i try connecting Krimar Photo. Thanks again. If you see this part in ebay or other shop, please call me,you nice guys! Thanks!

Yep - new front panel I think!
I'd suspect the packaging wasn't all that good although it looks like it was hit with something pretty hard.
I just got a mint Rolleiflex WA from Germany via DHL and it arrived in perfect condition.
But tell me, was it insured?

Looks like there's substantial damage, it'll most likely need much need more than just a front panel replaced.

As Leigh says it should have been sent insured and the sender is responsible for making the insurance claim, also with ensuring it was packaged properly. Contact the seller and make a claim.

it is irreversible...No insure. My best friend sent it to me...

What a good guy you are Ian!Thank you! Thanks everybody!

Ouch! Thanks for posting the additional pictures, now I see the problem. Are you sure only the front plate is damaged??

As the owner of a mint 2.8F I feel bad for your situation.

Did you try Harry Fleenor?

Dear ic-racer,i am no sure only the front plate is damaged.I also try Harry Fleenor,he said : I do not have any new front panels for the Rolleiflex 2.8F. I can usually straighten the front so it will work.
should i send it to Germany to repair?

should i send it to Germany to repair?

That could be a good idea. Check with an authorized german Rollei repair center. Maybe the front for the 2,8FX can be made to fit. The main difference is the flash synch/selftimer lever, that the 2,8FX doesn't have.

The parts inside are not be checked yet. It sounds like something droped in it when i shake it gently The shutter and aperture cannot work....I hope it would not be a big problem.Thank god....

Thanks!Pgeobc, but i could not find the part in it,it just is an hole camera~
