Help in identifying this object

They look like masks for doing portraits. The shape lets you eliminate everything except for the head and shoulders, and the raised edge would give a soft edge to the outline.
 
The box is from 9x12 Agfa ultra rapid plates (I guess IMO)

No, these are from Gevaert in Belgium.
Gevaert and Agfa merged much, much later, in 1964.
 
You are right in a way. At the former Gevaert plant one has to look for the Gevaert name by now. Except for the Gevaert marking at the old exhaust stack and and a bold relief out of sight at the top of the old headqarters building and two entrances bearing the Agfa-Gevaert designation all other markings have been substituted with "Agfa" by now.
