Got this unit with an entire darkroom set-up that I bought. Does anyone know what it is or does? It looks to me like some sort of viewer?!? The black panel is cloth. The tiny "footstands" for each panel is adjustable. There is no name, number, or other mark on it. Please help.

If this is what I think it is? It is for spotting or retouching prints. This holds your print or large format negative.

hi doug
usually there is milk glass on one of the openings
its used to light UP to the white glass
where you would illuminate the negative so you could retouch it ( usually with leads or spot tone retouching fluid )
if you go to gooooogle and type in "retouching desk" you will find some that look
almost exactly like yours ( on pintrist ).

Thank you all for your replies. I figured it had to be something for viewing negatives. I just didn't know what it was. I don't know if this would be something I would keep as I could use a lightbox for the same task.

Thank you all for the replies, it has helped me figure out what it is to research prices for selling it. I don't think I would week it as I could use a lightbox for the same task.
