Don't brush this on your body, arm, face, etc, because you'll transfer body oils to the hairs of the brush, which was likely used to brush off a negative in the enlarger negative holder before exposure.
It may already have been damaged this way, but give it a try, with a marginal, very clean negative, to see if any oils transfer.
By the way, the term "Camel hair" does not mean it IS made of Camel hairs, it's a general term for unknown or kept soft hairs, which could be from some of the lesser brush hairs, such as those of the Red Sable, Kolinsky Sables, sheep and goat hairs.
If you must replace it, buy an artist's Red Sable watercolour brush, from a good maker, about 1.5" -2" wide.
Oil paint brushes will be held more stiffly, and less desirable for negatives, where it may drag debris causing scratches.
Cheers.
