Have a 4x5 film holder with one sheet of mystery in it. I do not recognise the notch code by touch (I don't want to waste it!). I checked all the film that I use, but cannot figure it out. All I know for certain is that it is black and white, because I have not shot any colour since mid 90's in Japan, and that was Velvia.

Any ideas?

Kodak Super XX . Great stuff

Could be Royal X as well. I've some Super XX I bought 25-30 or longer years ago in 11x14. It was beautiful film.

[QUOTE="mshchem, post: 2454737, member: 23192" That sign is a spitting image for SUPER XX[/QUOTE]
+1. I processed a couple of sheets last week and that is the notch code on the film

Cut the corner with the notch code off to confirm.

It's not Super XX, or Royal X, any agfa films, as I have never used those films before. This is a holder that I loaded myself. Films that I have used in 4x5: tmax 100, 400; tri-x (decades ago); delta 100; HIE (but this film's code is forever notched in my brain); HP5, FP4, Delta 100; Rollei IR; Shanghai; Adox CMS, CHS; Acros.

I always label my holders once loaded. For some reason, this one wasn't labelled. Might have been back when I was testing this film in my back yard...
