Hello:

In 2000 I bought parts of a process camera from someone in Texas. It arrived in two boxes, and believe it or not, I didn't open it until earlier this year! It was fine, other than evidence of mice visiting the cartons in the garage.

The bellows carton weighed 36#! It has some steel plates to hold the front and rear shape.

The bellows support or hanger has the name Helm stamped or engraved on it.

I was curious what the complete camera looked like, for ideas how to implement it for either an indoor camera or horizontal enlarger.

I have been unable to find the seller, who had a rather common name, this year and there are multiple photographers with that name. I also have been unsuccessful finding anything about a Helm company, mainly due to Google's insistence on showing me absolutely everything else (or nothing).

Does Helm as camera or bellows maker sound familiar to anyone? Maybe someone else has done exactly this. (I don't think my ideas are very 'original').

I did take some measurements of the front & rear frames & openings & counted the number & length of the pleats, as I cannot stretch out the bellows yet, without securing one end. I have to find that notepad to describe the size, but any knowledge of a Helm process camera or bellows doesn't depend on the size.

Thank you

Murray
