Hello! I am pigeon. I collect and use cameras of all sizes, mostly 35mm to 3x4 and 9x12cm. I really like to repair cameras and I like most old things. My favorite era for cameras would be 1920's to 1940's. other than cameras, I also collect typewriters, adding machines, clocks, and other mechanical antiques. I consider myself a fairly competent repairman, so nearly everything I own I repaired myself. I've only really gotten into film photography in the last year and a half, i've been collecting everything else much longer. Honestly I'm surprised this hobby didn't happen sooner haha.

As you say, given your interest in all things mechanical, getting into film cameras was almost inevitable! So - welcome to Photrio, nice to have you here, hope you enjoy the discussions and camaraderie.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm excited to be included in a larger part of the film community. So far I've only really interacted with people on discord an a little on instagram. This is the first forum that I've ever used, but it seem simple enough to use. Reminds me of when I was a kid and would browse all the cool DIY planes I could find on RCgroups.

What's APUG?

Welcome!
From the first page of the site:
"PHOTRIO.COM is the combination of three existing photography forums: APUG.ORG (Analog Photography Users Group), Hybridphoto.com and DPUG.ORG (Digital Photography Users Group). We’re now operating under one umbrella and providing you with total control of the photographic workflow you prefer. Our discussion board contains a vast archive of photographic processes, techniques and chat. Our Partners Ilford, Adox, Freestyle Photographic, Stearman Press and Weldon Color Lab equally fund our community."
APUG is/was still close to many of our hearts
