Just joined and was about to start reading through a few threads when I spotted this one.
I've been a digital photographer for a number of years but recently decided to have a go at film.
I did have a film camera when I was a teen but never really learned how to use it and just collected the blurry photos from boots with a quizzical smile.
I bought a couple of second hand film cameras and developing equipment a couple of months back - so far thats going pretty well.
Last week i purchased an enlarger (Meopta Op 6a) plus a few other bits and i'm slowly putting together what I need to have a go at printing.
I'm trying to keep my kit as organised and compact as I can as I don't have a lot of space.
Welcome from Australia. This is a great site with lots of stored knowledge, so please share your efforts and we will help in any way we can. Nothing we like more than a convert!
Simon, best of greetings.
I'm new here also & feel like I've hit the 'mother lode' of great info. I avoided digital for a long time. I finally dove in, but it leaves me hungry for a slower, more deliberate, thoughtful approach. I wanted to push my image quality - especially in composition - at which I have no talent. For me to gain any competency, I have to work at it hard & alot. The folks at this site have been terribly helpful.
I suspect you'll find it of great value also.
