Hi All,

Claus here, I look forward to participating in all the good discussions.
I'm from Denmark originally, in the US since 1980.
I started shooting 35mm (Konica TC) in '76 after banging around with Instamatics. I got to do B/W printing in those days too.
When married, my wife had a Nikon and 70es lenses to go with it, so that has kept us (mostly) on the Nikon road for 35mm.

These days, we have film and digital.
For film:
Nikon N90
Nikon EM
Nikkormat
Rolleiflex E 2.8
Pentax Spotmatic
Pentax RZ67

For digital:
Nikon D850
Nikon D200

The irony is that with all this sitting around, it wasn't until I was given a Contax G2 (since sold) a couple of years back that my "film urges" started up again for real. After shooting with it (and loving both the pics and the Zeiss glass) I started buying Zeiss lenses for the 850 (a terrific combo). This led to me wanting to use the glass on the film Nikons, which is my current upcoming project. Meanwhile I am diving headfirst into 'boutique' films (Ferrania, Orwo) and trying to decide on test rolls to buy.

Now the Rollei Twin is calling me to get going with it as well...the medium-format black hole opens anew...

A bit about my photographic journey. This forum seems to be just the place to be a film lover in 2020.

Claus, since you are in the DC area checkout Glen Echo Park Photoworks, https://glenechophotoworks.org/, The Flying Camera gives classes there. I used the darkroom for printing. One time I bought a 4"x5" Graflex camera that I had trouble with. The Flying Camera drove to meet me in a camera store in Virginia and helped me with the camera.

Welcome, thanks for joining. Nice to see another long-time film user. We have had some of the long-time film users pass away or lose interest.

These are good times for experimenting with different emulsions, due to the internet and international shipping.

I recall when I got my Yashica TLR in 1975, my mom had to drive me around to a certain photography store to get B&W 120 film and then usually they had only a single emulsion (or even a single roll!). Today I see Freestyle has a mind-boggling 45 listings for 120 B&W film! These really are good days for film photographers!
