This looks an interesting site and I look forward to participating. I have recently returned to rangefinder cameras (Leica M6 Classic+ Summicron optics) after many years away. In my more senior years and a Variofocals spectacles wearer I finder rangefinders so much easier to focus than SLR's I wish I had rediscovers them years earlier

Leica users may find this site of interest http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/international-user-forum/

Welcome to APUG Kenneth. I hope that you'll enjoy your many future visits here.
My rangefinder experiences center around a couple of Fuji MF models.

Welcome. The M6 is great to focus as for SLR's I have an Olympus with a split screen which is also easy to focus.

Hi thank you all for the warm welcome and Steve I had an OM2n which I passed on to my daughter. I would say the focusing of an OM2n is nowhere near as accurate or fast as the M6, that is an M6 0.72 which is most suited to wide angle and portrait lenses, i.e. 35mm to 75mm. The M6 0.85, which is meant to be used with 75mm up is not as easy to focus with standard and wide angle lenses
