Long time (and old) photographer. Was professional (Gamma-Liaison, Getty Images) a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away - but not very active for past 20 years. Just recently getting back into it. Still have lots of Canon & Nikon 35mm gear. Early 2025 acquired Fujifilm XT-4 (for travel) and and 4x5 (Wista & Intrepid) for my "real" (b&w) photography . Family portrait attached.

Yeah - this pic is from Hilton Head Island... so here's what our local beaches look like - mostly rocks around ponds . Next Spring/early summer we'll be kayaking the Concord river up through Minute Man Park, etc,. which should provide some nice photo ops.

Hi - I lived in Victoria/Vancouver off and on during the 90's. Did some stringer work for the Vancouver Sun. Don't know if you're old enough to remember it... but did a cover for Macleans during the Clayoquot Sound protests of 1993.

Hi - I did a shoot on the Bridges of Madison County back in 1994 or so (before the film) - a beautiful area. Also was in Iowa City at that time for the Iowa vs. Iowa State football game. It was a wild scene!

Thanks - We get into Boston a few times a year. Mostly for the Red Sox games, the Improv Asylum, or for check-ups at Mass Gen'l. Improv Asylum the most fun, and Red Sox often more painful than Mass Gen'l!

Oh yeah. Iowa vs Iowa State. It's a crazy time. Iowa is a beautiful place, northeastern part, untouched by glaciers is hills and forests and bluffs. So much of Iowa is grain and livestock production. Driving through east to west one sees nothing but corn (maize) . A blessing and a curse. Still bits of prairie and eastern hardwood forests.

I'm 62, and lived a chunk of the 80's in Victoria. Not aware of the protests you mention, because for the entire decade of the 90's, I was settled in Japan.
