Im Shaun Nelson, a photographer from South Ogden, Utah, USA. I originally took up photography 15 years ago when my oldest son was born. I consider myself part of the new generation of Film photographers in the way that I originally started shooting digital. Its all Ive known until the last two years. Prior to digital, I had no experience or desire to shoot film.
Since January 2014, Ive collected over 50 film cameras. At times its made my wife very nervous that Ive immersed myself into something so quickly. My feeling about my camera collection is simple: I wont buy a camera that I cant put film in and use. Museum pieces are nice, just like classic cars and comic books, but I want to take them out and enjoy them. Along with collecting the cameras, Ive found a lot of satisfaction researching them and learning about them.
To document my exploration into film photography, I've created a website, UtahFilmPhotography.com.
Thanks, and I look forward to exploring the forums here on APUG.
