Hello all! Where even to begin?
I'm a digital photographer: I have an Olympus OMD-EM1 markII married to a 40-150 f/2.8 pro with 1.4x teleconverter for bird photos, and an OMD-EM5 markIII married to a 1930's Kodak 63mm f/2.7 cine lens as my walk-around.
I'm a collector: at last count, somewhat over 70 film cameras. I also collect old photos, particularly showing wooden canoes and Thousand Islands scenes. I love glass plate negatives, and photos by A. C. McIntyre.
Today I came home with a Kodak enlarger that weighs about 175 pounds and is taller than I am (which is 6-foot two-inches).
I have film, and a recently delivered box of chemicals for developing the same. As soon as I get past the analysis paralysis phase, I hope to put as many of my cameras to work as I can.
My day job(s) are coffee roaster, editor magazines for non-profits, wooden boat builder and restorer, and timber-framer/house restorer. I also enjoy woodworking, and build the occasional guitar or tube amplifier.
I am really looking forward to learning from and participating in these forums.
Dan
