hi everyone!

i'm louie and i just turned 20 T_T i'm an undergrad taking up ECE and loved photography from the time i loved browsing photographs for amusement in deviant art. don't worry i don't use and not entirely interested in digital cameras and digital photography which is why i joined here. i believe that naturality is groovy. i started out by buying a cheap eos750 and then my mother scolded me for this since she had an eos500d and asked me why bother to buy the camera when she had one. well it was hers and not mine so i asked her that if i could sell my camera i'll have hers and of course she agreed weee! so now i have an eos500. it's actually labeled eos kiss, dunno why but i know my uncle bought it for my mother from japan. so there~

i'm an amateur so i have my pictures printed in photo shops. i'm a busy student so i only experiment with the camera once in a while most likely when i feel like taking pictures and when i have money ^_^ still, i'd be very much happy if i could print my own pictures as well as a film scanner so i could share my prints to those interested but i plan on doing all these when i'd working and earn enough for these.

i'd love to tour around Asia and take extraordinary pictures someday so if there is anyone out there who'd like to go with i'd be very glad to have your company.

so why film? i believe that film photographers are the best because from their cameras that they can trully capture or rather almost grasp beauty just from the lens. i dislike photoshop edited pictures because i don't see them beautiful anymore but it's just my opinion and i've noticed that digital prints fade a lot faster than prints in film. so film photos are absolutely long lasting ^^,

so how did i came across this site? i actually forgot how but so suddenly i stumbled upon this website from nowhere and was very much excited and surprised that this kind of group existed.

ps. i'm female by the way...in case you who are reading this thinks i'm a male ^_^ i'm actually used to that misunderstanding so it's ok with me weeee!

Welcome from Nash Vegas. I think you'll find lots to share and learn with others here. Become a subscriber and post some of your photos in the gallery for us!
Also, congratulations on being female. I heard they changed the internet since it used to only allow 50 year old balding, obese males.
Regards,
Chris

Welcome to APUG! There's tons to learn and tons of cool people from which to learn it. You'll quickly become a member of AA - Apuggers Anonymous - after the addiction sets in. Lucky for you you don't have a spouse or children to neglect, so you can indulge the addiction to your heart's content!

Welcome from Sydney, Australia. Good to see some young energy and enthusiasm! I am one of those (almost) 50, not yet bald but very grey, mildly overweight men who occasionally regrets his career choices. So, follow your passions in life and if you can make a satisfying living from them all the better. If you follow something with real desire and dedication you will be successful. I wish you all the best with your photography.
