Hello fellow film-enthousiasts!

I am Maarten, 22 years old and I live in The Netherlands.
A few years back, I rolled into analog photography, after I used a small digital camera and DSLR for a while.
A friend gave me an old Petri 7S rangefinder, which sadly was broken soon afterwards.
When looking at a camerastore, I found a Pentax ME Super with Tokina 28mm f2.8 for cheap, so I picked that one up. Still got that camera, it's a great camera to walk around with, it is accompanied by a Ricoh 50mm f1.4 as well.

Two years ago, I got interested in Medium format camera's, and by accident stumbled onto a Mamiya 645 with 80mm f2.8 and 150mm, and a 2 viewfinders (SLR like and from the top).
Later I bought a 55mm f2.8 lens to accompany the Mamiya wih, since I mainly shoot on the street and do landscapes. It works great, it's now filled with ADOX 20 ASA film.

A few months ago, I started thinking of the rangefinder concept, and for some reason I decided to enter the phrase: "Leica" into a local auctionsite. Quickly I stumbled on a Leica M6 for relatively not much money, without a lens.
After some consideration I decided to buy it, together with a Voigtlander 35mm f1.4 lens. It's a lovely combination to work with on the streets, where I mostly shoot my pictures.

A few days ago, I had the idea of a new project, and for that I actually need a former East-German camera (preferably a rangefinder like a Werra 3), or a former Sovjet-Union camera like the Zorkis and FEDs. So the hunt is on for such camera!

I have learned to develop in black-white, and to print negatives at my internship, at AAP-lab in Amsterdam, one of the last analogical photolabs in The Netherlands. They do colour development as well (C-41) and print up to 2x2 metres, I cant find a better place to learn about the world of analogical printing!
When I left there, I got as a present a Paterson tank, so I only need to buy some developer, stop bath and fixer to start develop my film on my own!

I hope to learn a lot here on APUG, and I hope you enjoyed my introduction!

Greetings from The Netherlands,

Maarten

Hi Maarten, welcome to APUG! Sounds like you are on the right track in terms of GAS, something many of us here at APUG suffer from!

Hello, Maarten -- from "down here" in Paris. Welcome to APUG. If you're looking for gear, don't forget the big camera fair in Utrecht which takes place every March IIRC - "Fotorgrafica."

Hallo Maarten, welkom alhier!
