Hello from the Midwest

Hi all,

I found and joined APUG today and this is my first posting.

I've enjoyed photography since I got my first good camera, a Nikon F w/Photomic FTn finder in 1973 (which still works great, I still own it, and it has never needed repair!). I have and use various Nikon 35mm cameras, a Bronica ETRSi medium format camera (+ an old Rolleicord), and Nikon digital cameras too.

I have darkroom stuff that I haven't used in a long time (and probably won't as I live in a rural area and chemical disposal would be a problem). When I was in California, I took a couple photography classes at a junior college...that was a lot of fun. Now, I have some studio lights (Bowens) and backdrops and am just getting into doing senior pictures for some of the local high school students.

When I lived in Montana there was no such thing as the midwest. It was all back east to us. Grin.

Yes, I DO remember when I lived in California and people would say they were going back East and they meant Nevada!
