All,
Well I suppose I should do this now to get it over with...
I've been snooping around this site for the last couple of weeks, and Im glad that there are people out there who still are all about film. I've always been interested in photography, but only in the last couple of years have I finally been able to get my hands dirty. I started off by using my parent's old Minolta XG-1, then stepped up to a Canon Elan II. That was the camera that hooked me. Shortly thereafter came the development tanks - and then it was a downward spiral resulting in black marine vinyl covering up the windows and door in the kitchen so I can use my Omega to make some prints. I just purchased a Sinar F2 and cannot wait to be able to start diving into the LF world (waiting on a lens...). Should be fun mountain biking with it
Welcome Steve, This is a great place that I am sure you will enjoy. I am just up the road from you in Coatesville, PA and I work in West Chester. Perhaps we can hook up at some point.
Welcome, Steve. I went to West Chester State College (before it was called a university) for a couple of years but then transferred to a NYC conservatory. I've always had a soft spot for the area (I grew up in Havertown) though.
You'll love it here especially since you've dipped your toe in the bottomless sea of large format. Please post your photographs as you make them. It'll be fun to see your progress.
