I'm James, a retired electrical, control and instrumentation contractor, a master industrial electrician, a certified welder, a machinist and automotive restorer. I'm also a former wedding photographer and earned my first degree in journalism with a minor in photography. I guess you could call me a skill collector.
Through the years I mostly shot 35mm with some 6x6 and 16mm subminiature formats. Due to life getting in the way, having my children in my mid 40's and business taking all my time, I dropped out of photography for a couple of decades except for point and shoot snapshots. In the past decade, I started using Olympus digital equipment in the 4/3 format.
Among my many hobbies, I do camera repair and restoration specializing in the Olympus OM system. I've been considering building a darkroom as I really miss having the control it gives the creative process.
